Help Us
Get Involved
Parkchester doesn’t improve because of one person—it improves when neighbors work together.
In a large community, it’s easy to assume that someone else will report the problem, attend a meeting, or speak up. When thousands of people each believe someone else will take action, important issues can go unresolved. PWG was created to bring residents together so that individual concerns become a collective voice for positive change.
Our volunteers have already helped organize community meetings, advocate for improvements to safety and quality of life, document recurring issues such as elevator, heat, and water outages, educate residents about their rights, organize petitions and advocacy campaigns, and build relationships with elected officials and community partners. Every success begins with residents who choose to get involved.
Whether you have 10 minutes a month or several hours each week, there is a place for you at PWG.

Volunteer With PWG
Lead an Issue
One of the most meaningful ways to help is to become a PWG Issue Lead.
An Issue Lead researches, organizes, and advocates for an issue they care about. You don’t have to solve the problem alone. PWG provides guidance, connects you with other volunteers, assists with outreach, and works together to move the issue forward.
Examples of issues you could lead include:
- Elevator reliability and modernization
- Heat and hot water reliability
- Safety and security
- Outdoor lighting improvements
- Trash collection and cleanliness
- Rat and pest reduction
- Building maintenance and capital improvements
- Transparency and resident communication
- Smoking policy and enforcement
- Parking and traffic safety
- Responsible pet ownership
- Accessibility and ADA improvements
- Parks, playgrounds, and landscaping
- Sustainability and energy efficiency
- Senior outreach and accessibility
- Community events and neighborhood beautification
- Researching best practices from other condominium communities
Don’t see an issue you’re passionate about? We’d love to hear your ideas. If it matters to our community, it matters to us.
